Creative teams located all over the world, consisting of designers, experts, developers, and other creatives, work together on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) – challenges, using a tailored toolkit with proven results.
Connecting Today, Creating Tomorrow. Let’s #Design2030Now!
Globally, every location faces different challenges according the SDGs. There is a need for local solutions to global problems. To increase the impact and sustainability of solutions resulting from the jams, The Spindle supports the Global Goals Jam by using our network of innovators to provide local challenges to be tackled during the jams. Therefore, we need you! The Global Goals Jam provides you a unique opportunity to apply challenges of your organization to a group of local human centred designers who are eager to use their capacities to attribute to the fulfillment of the SDGs. The delivered products and solutions can be implemented in your organization and by this play a role in achieving the SDGs.
The organizers are looking for design/ prototype interventions for the Sustainable Development Goals and ask for local challenges that matter to you and your partner organisations. In 2017 the Global Goals Jam will take place all over the world from the 15th till the 17th of September .
During the Global Goals Jam, teams create interventions aimed at short term targets in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. This year, the Jam focuses on goal 1, 2, 3, 4 & 11. Examples of global challenges you can download here.
Got a challenge?
In 2016, 17 cities joined and over 500 creators, experts and designers developed concepts, ideas and prototypes. To organize this, the UN reached out to the (service) design field to bring in their expertise in multidisciplinary problem-solving and human centred design methodology. This year, the Global Goals Jam reaches out to more locations and more designers!
Do you have, or do you know somebody who has a challenge that could need some creativity and design expertise? Send an email to email@example.com and we will connect you to the local organizers to support a cooperation with maximum impact and follow-up.
