On 21 November 2017 the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Partos, the Prince Claus Chair and the Centre for Frugal Innovation in Africa (CFIA) organise a half-day seminar on grassroots innovation. Former Prince Claus chairholder, Saradindu Bhaduri, has researched grassroots innovation throughout his term as chairholder and will return to the ISS for the seminar in order to help foster collaboration between academia and practitioners.

Questions that will be discussed:

  • What can we learn from theory or practice?
  • How can we foster grassroots innovation?

We will zoom in on grassroots innovation in food security and energy, but interesting examples from other sectors are more than welcome!

Do you have an interesting case to share? Please contact Kinsuk Mani Sinha with brief details at Kinsukmanisinha@iss.nl by September 30, if you are willing to share a case at the seminar.

You can sign up for this event on the Eventbrite page.
