Do you have ideas on how to improve the use of monitoring, evaluation and research data? New ways to use IATI data or citizen generated data? New strategies for impact measurement of development projects or monitoring cost-efficiency?

Monitoring data are primarily used for accountability purposes and to a lesser extent for steering and seldom for learning. How can we make more use of monitoring data in this age of ‘Big Data’? Measuring impact of development projects is even more challenging as it is not easy to demonstrate causal links between intervention, outputs, outcomes and impact. And what are adequate approaches for development organisations to monitor and demonstrate efficiency in a meaningful way?
