Recently, the Spindle organised a session “How to raise sustainable income streams: the importance of non-profit business”. Due to the great interest in this session and its content, we decided to follow up on this trajectory by creating a Community of Practice on Innovative Finance.
You’re invited to join the first meeting of this Community of Practice. Han Valk consultancy will join us in the capacity of external experts on the subject matter and will contribute with questions, insights and examples regarding the content of the topic.
If you’re interested in attending the meeting, you can take a look at the recently published Report: Innovative Finance for Development – A Guide for International NGOs. This report by InterAction provides an overview of- and some guidelines on 17 available Innovative Finance for Development (IF4D) instruments. See the image below.
On the basis of this overview, our questions to you are the following:
- Are you already implementing any of these methods within your organisation? If yes, which ones and in which way?
- What/Which other innovative financing method(s) not mentioned in the list are you using?
- Which method would you be interested in trying out?
If you want, you can share your answers with us in advance, and otherwise, you can just join us on April 23 and share your case(s) on the spot.
Last but not least, it is important to mention that all CoP’s meetings will take place in the Netherlands. In case you are based abroad and thus are not able to physically attend the sessions, you are still more than welcome to become part of an online community meaning that you can follow, contribute and benefit from the outcomes of this trajectory on innovative finance for development.
