For the fifth time this year, Partos/The Spindle organise the Partos Innovation Festival to celebrate innovation in international development. A festive and joyful mix of inspiration, learning by doing and networking. A day to obtain new skills and insights, with various speakers and workshops. On top of this all we will announce the winners of The Awards 2018. So, join us at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam!
The overall festival theme this year will be A future we want. Together we will explore innovative and transformative ways to become future-fit in the field of development cooperation. Partos/The Spindle chose this cross-cutting theme to follow up on the Future Exploration of the past year.
The Awards 2018
Each year The Spindle takes up the challenge to put innovations from all over the world into the limelight at the Partos Innovation Festival. As the innovation platform of Partos, the Spindle promotes initiatives that are focused on creating a fairer, more inclusive, sustainable world. This year four awards will be honoured: Best Innovation for Development, Best Humanitarian Innovation, The Nothing about Us Without Us Award, Best Idea for Development.
The best participants of each category will present their initiative during the Partos Innovation Festival 2018 – and run for prize money, coaching and the undivided attention of the Dutch NGO-sector, potential investors and donors.
Speakers, sessions and other inspiring acts
Like every other festival, our Innovation Festival has a line-up as well. A wide range of speakers will join us during this day. Marina Diboma, Deputy Managing Director of NABC, will be host and facilitator of the festival! Furthermore, the line-up includes amongst others Wim Naudé, Linda Raftree, Merel van der Woude and Julian Rodríguez and Atta de Tolk.
The sessions will have various topics such as ‘Storytelling for social change’, ‘The future of migration’ and ‘The inclusion game’. You may expect practical tools, valuable insights, and opportunities to share thoughts with other visitors.
