Project description

What problem are you trying to solve?
In the past 40 years, the world has lost 50% of its wildlife. And it is a struggle to keep the public involved, despite a common love for animals. Our products are intended to change that by getting millions of people to pay attention to wildlife every day. IoE aims to create games that make conservation fun for anyone. All our games our based on data from real animals in the wild, and we are partnered with all these organisations to do research and find solutions to resolve the human-animal conflict.  As humans we relate to the true stories of individuals. The same goes for animals. Look at how the world reacted to Cecil the lion, who had a name and a dramatic story. That is why our games are based on real animals, with data provided by our conservation partners. To bring you individual stories of animals in the wild. Internet of elephants aims to have a sustainable businessmodel to make the animals profit from the engagement as equal stakeholders, and not by asking for donations.

What is your solution to this problem?
Our mission is to make that happen by connecting millions of people with individual animals in the wild through social games. We believe that conservation can be fun for everyone. Even if people think about wildlife for just 5 minutes a day, it would change the way conservation is supported forever.
We will use existing research data from sensors placed on animals for scientific research, many animals are being tracked and traced and we have acces to many years of data, from a huge variety individual animals. We will disclose this data in a game-system for players to engage with. As Pokemon Go succesfully did before, but with real animals and their stories, and these animals will benefit in return, players will have an impact in future wild life conservation. So get engaged and immersed with these animals daily obstacles and whereabouts.

Why are you going to win The Spindle Award for Best Innovation?
I believe we are making an attempt to innovate in a domain which is rather conservative (conservation ; ) by using and applying tech for wildlife, we hate to use the buzzwords, but we are truly mining big data, and are all inclusive; all players and stakeholders are involved closely from scratch to play a role in our aspirations. With Sensors, Gamification, Augmented Reality, Social media we wish to stay ahead of the game globally and prevent wild life to become extinct.
